These children and family sessions take place out doors and are about creating beautiful photos of you and your family interacting naturally and having fun. With a little posing direction and some natural lighting techniques from me, and a lot of messing about from you, we will create some stunning artwork for you to display pride of place in your home.

FAQ’s
Q. WHERE DO YOU GO FOR THE OUTDOOR FAMILY PHOTO-SHOOTS?
A. There are a number of great local places for the family shoots, for example: Bradgate Park, Beacon Hill, Wollaton Park, Rutland water. I’m also open to suggestions so if there is a special place where you like to go as a family we can take a look. Just bare in mind some locations work better in different seasons.
Q. HOW LONG IS THE PHOTO-SHOOT?
A. The outdoor shoot is 1-1.5 hours but is very dependant on age and number of people being photographed. I am pretty flexible so will usually shoot until I get what I want, and I don’t clock watch.
Q. WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD ON THE DAY OF OUR SHOOT?
A. If it’s raining and you and your child is happy playing in puddles and getting your umbrellas out we can go ahead with the session. If that’s not up your street I’m quite happy to reschedule for another date.
Q. I’M WORRIED MY CHILD MAY NOT CO-OPERATE OR WILL BE SHY.
A. Please don’t worry I have been photographing children of all ages for years, I’m patient, I’m a Dad so I completely understand. We can play for a bit until your child in comfortable and take it from there.
Q. I AM NERVOUS ABOUT HAVING MY PHOTO TAKEN?
A. Everyone is normally nervous, but I find people of all ages are more relaxed outdoors. and my sessions are very chilled and fun, so don’t worry! It is really important to me that everyone has fun on the photo-shoot and I will do my best to capture the true personality of you and your family.
Q. HOW LONG BEFORE WE GET TO SEE OUR PHOTOS?
A. I normally say about 14 days (usually quicker) until your images are ready, you will receive a password to your online gallery. Here you can view all of the individual images and choose your favourites. There is an online shop where you can purchase frames, portrait books and other products.
Q. WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT ON THE IMAGES?
A. Jake Hilder Photography retains the copyright to all images produced during your photo-shoot.
